Its easy to see why black is a favorite color for formal occasions. It looks classy, effortless, and safe you can wear it again in several different ways, and youll always look elegant in it whether you are heavily accessorized or wearing nothing more than pearl earrings. However, Filipinos discourage guests and bridesmaids from wearing black at weddings because we believe that it will only bring bad luck. That eliminates the easy option of the little black dress.
Then again, there is no superstition that says black accessories and accents bring the same bad luck as an all-black dress. So if you want to give your ‘maids a dash of classic elegance without breaking tradition, consider black accents on their dresses which also happens to be a hot trend for fall. Black accents is not actually new Ive seen black sashes on a few wedding gowns last season, as well as black accessories.
